Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring smooth daily operations of the medical or dental office. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages promptly
  • Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using Epic or Dentrix software systems
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while maintaining an organized calendar for providers
  • Collect co-pays and process payments securely at the front desk
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly

Experience

  • Prior experience as a dental receptionist or medical receptionist in a healthcare setting is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is essential
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff
  • Demonstrated experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling high call volumes
  • Office experience that includes managing appointments, billing, and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with dental or medical office procedures and software tools to streamline daily operations
