Full job description

Overview We are seeking a Full-time or Part-time dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in medical with strong administrative skills and familiarity with electronic medical records. This role involves front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including updating personal information and collecting necessary documentation
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
  • Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient clinic operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems such as Accuro
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Office experience handling front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems with outstanding telephone etiquette
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor required for providing quality patient service

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
