Part-Time Medical Receptionist – Geriatric Medicine Clinic (3 Mornings/Week)

8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

$22.00–$25.00/hour

Join Our Team

Kawartha Centre – Redefining Healthy Aging is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our multidisciplinary geriatric medicine clinic. Our team is dedicated to helping older adults optimize their health, maintain independence, and age well. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and supportive environment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, thrives in a busy healthcare setting, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.

Position Details

· Part-Time Permanent

· 3 mornings per week

· Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

· Location: Peterborough, Ontario

· Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

· Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner

· Answer and direct incoming telephone calls

· Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments

· Register patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)

· Update patient demographics and physician information

· Coordinate appointments for diagnostic testing and specialist services

· Process patient inquiries and forward clinical concerns to the appropriate team member

· Maintain an organized reception area and ensure a positive patient experience

· Protect patient confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations

· Provide general administrative support to physicians and clinical staff

Qualifications

Required

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

· High level of attention to detail

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence learning new computer programs

· Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach

Preferred

· Experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment

· Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

· Experience working with older adults, seniors, or individuals with cognitive concerns
