Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk, ensuring smooth daily operations of the medical office. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the clinical team with administrative tasks. Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Accuro and Juno EMR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing or coding as needed
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and managing documentation
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability and reduce wait times
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical office assistant with previous medical office experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Accuro EMR is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointment schedules
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
  • Demonstrated office experience in a busy healthcare environment, including front desk responsibilities and administrative support
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
