Overview

We are seeking 2 full-time receptionist for a busy family medical clinic.

As a Medical Receptionist, you are an excellent communicator who is passionate about providing administrative support to the betterment of our patients and our physicians. We can rely on you to be dependable and committed to your role. You are organized and adaptable with the ability to treat each patient in a manner that is comfortable to them. You can follow directions and be an independent problem solver. You are an effective communicator who excels at customer service through excellent listening skills and your desire to put the patient's needs first. You are able to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations while maintaining a positive attitude to colleagues and patients.

Role and Responsibilities

- Greet patients in a clinic setting
- Screen, direct calls, and take accurate messages in a professional matter
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, team message inbox, courier packages
- Handling of medical documents and correspondence (PS Suite knowledge would be an asset)
- Scanning and uploading of medical documents using EMR
- Schedule, cancel, re-book appointments and procedures
- Managing referrals and faxes (would be considered an asset)
- Ability to maintain and protect confidentiality, professional ethics and patient relations
- Process payments and refunds- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Taking vitals and rooming patients (would be considered an asset)

Skills

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology (would be considered an asset)
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with office procedures is essential.

Job Types: Full-Time

Hours: 40 per week

Pay: Starting range based on experience $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift (Monday to Friday)
  • Day Shift (8:00am to 4:30pm)
  • Occasional After Hours Clinic in the evenings and 1 Saturday
