Full job description

Medical Office Assistant (MOA)

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our very busy family practice clinic.

Hours Offered:

  • This position is 4 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with Wednesday off.
  • Regular daytime hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility is required to work occasional after-hours Women’s Health Clinics as scheduled. Paid at overtime if working the day as well.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting wage: $24.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Paid statutory holidays after one year of employment.
  • Probationary period of 3–6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient service in a fast-paced family practice clinic.
  • Manage appointments, referrals, forms, and other administrative duties.
  • Answer phones and communicate professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Assist physicians with daily clinic operations and ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Perform other administrative and clinical support duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Medical Office Assistant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment.
  • Learn quickly and can work independently once trained.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy medical practice.

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be required to work occasional after-hours Women’s Health Clinics as needed.
