Full job description

AM EYES is presently hiring a clinic receptionist for our Markham location.

The ideal candidate has experienced in a high volume medical clinic, and is able to speak Cantonese and Mandarin in addition to English fluently as we have a large Chinese patient population.

Responsibilities:

  • Checking in patients.
  • Receiving calls and making calls to patients, hospitals, and external healthcare partners.
  • Inventory management and supply management.
  • Document management of paper and digital documents.
  • Coordinating referrals from physicians and optometrists, and respond to referrals.
  • Calling software vendors and Ministry of Health to resolve billing errors and remittance advice inquiries that may arise.
  • May require assisting other staff on preliminary testing and other ad hoc tasks that may come up.

Requirements:

  • Clinic experience ideally in a vision care or medical clinic.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Preference for Cantonese and Mandarin language abilities.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
