Full job description

Centennial Family Physicians has an immediate opening for a temporary full-time Medical Receptionist for approximately 1 year.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Telephone reception and patient check in
  • Checking messages, and coordinating appropriate response/referral
  • Coordinates all aspects of patients' office contact, including information sharing, Health Card verification, patient direction, and EMR entry
  • Provides secretarial support to Physicians
  • Monitors and maintains patient waiting areas

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office environment (primary care experience preferred)
  • Diploma in Medical Office Administration or from a Medical Office Assistant program (Preferred)
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Records system would be an asset (this office uses Practice Solutions)
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft office and competent keyboarding skill

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
