Part-Time Medical Receptionist

Guelph, ON

Monday - Friday;

Part-time (3 days a week)

On-site training will be provided

Norfolk Family Medical is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, efficient Medical Office Receptionist to join our medical team.

As part of our Medical Receptionist team, you will be working alongside our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and trained medical staff to provide support for the clinical team with a variety of clerical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Receiving and making outgoing calls using a multi line phone system
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Greeting patients, family members & visitors
  • Scanning medical documentation
  • Checking in patients, verifying health cards & personal information
  • Processing day-to-day billing and payments
  • Requesting medical information

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Receptionist/Office Assistant (experience in Primary care an asset)
  • Proficiency in English; excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (Practice Solution PSS Telus is preferred)
  • College Diploma or Medical Office Assistant Certificate (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn
  • Experience using basic office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to learn
