Full job description

Part time: 16-24 hours/week. Monday and Thursday afternoon/early evenings (2-6) , full day Friday (8am-4pm)

Primary Duties:

-Register and greet patients upon arrival

-Ensure patient rooms are clean and bring patients into room

-Book appointments and bill patients as required

-Answering phone calls and emails promptly

-Review incoming faxes, triage referrals, book new patients

-Communicate with referring doctors on patient bookings and send out consult notes upon physician completion in a timely manner

- General administrative tasks

Skills:

-High level of interpersonal skills required

-Excellent communication skills- verbal and written

-Fast paced environment, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

-Strong organizational skills

The successful candidate would have a warm, friendly demeanor. They would be mature, self-directed, well-groomed and hold themselves to a high professional standard. They would be able to work as part of the team with physician and physiotherapists to ensure patients are well cared for.

Past Experience:

Two year experience as medical receptionist preferred

EMR experience required

POS experience an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
