Medical Receptionist – Ophthalmology Office
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Permanent part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
Job Type: Part-time

About Us
We are a busy ophthalmology practice in Grande Prairie dedicated to providing high-quality eye care in a professional, respectful, and patient-focused environment. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and personable Receptionist to join our front desk team and help support smooth daily clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Confirm and update patient demographic information, pharmacy information, and appointment details
- Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the Electronic Medical Record system
- Perform data entry and ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to date
- Assist with scanning, uploading, organizing, and filing patient documents and eye-related imaging
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle medical information responsibly
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
- Complete general administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, faxing, and other front-desk duties
- Follow clinic protocols and communicate respectfully with patients, physicians, and coworkers
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable using computers and learning medical office software
- Able to work in a busy medical office environment
- Previous medical office or reception experience is an asset, but training can be provided for the right candidate
