Position Available

Ophthalmic Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities

· Answering and directing calls from patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices.

· Efficiently checking in patients and scheduling appointments with warmth.

· Entering information into patient management software accurately and promptly.

· Providing excellent customer service to patients, their families, and visitors, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.

· Communicating with patients and colleagues about the patient’s condition, results, product recommendations, and next steps with clarity and compassion.

· Maintaining a clean and organized desk and office environment.

· Performing other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.

Skills

· Strong phone skills and active listening to understand and address patient needs effectively.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, reflecting our values of empathy and clarity.

· Patience with great follow-through and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Fluency in secondary languages is considered an asset, enhancing our ability to connect with a diverse patient base.

· Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 1+ years of previous experience at an Optometry or Ophthalmology Clinic.

· Completion of MOA/COA is considered an asset.
