Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team to cover a maternity relief line as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage electronic medical records, and assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent patient care. Prior experience with office management systems such as iClinic, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology, is highly preferred. There is the potential to be permanent part-time after the contract ends.

Duties

  • Manage phone/email systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communications
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems like iClinic accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups to optimize clinic workflow
  • Prepare patient charts and documentation for provider visits
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence
  • Proof-reading dictations and distributing them accordingly

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant in a healthcare
  • Working in a specialized clinic setting such as a cardiologists office preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as iClinic
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
