About us

Dr Glen Kielland Ward Inc is a small business in Langley, BC. We are professional, collaborative office. We provide general pediatric consultation services to children with complex needs. There are currently 3 pediatricians working in the office

Our work environment includes:

We are looking for a full time employee that will work alongside our current staff person. We are currently increasing the number of pediatrician work days in the office and anticipate needing an additional staff person.

This job is perfect for people who have a passion for helping others and who are interested in helping children and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient enquiries and will also be involved with various types of billing. This job requires good keyboarding/typing and computer skills. It is a computer based job. Essentially, you are the person dealing with the day to day needs of the office. There is a very experienced office manager to support you in your role. You will be the voice and face of the office when dealing with the public. We're looking for a team player with strong customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have multiple years of experience working in a medical office and using an electronic medical record. Medical terminology is also important. Our office uses Accuro. Pay will reflect the level of experience in this type of office setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Pass messages to and from doctors and, if appropriate, to patients.
  • Schedule doctor's appointments.
  • Electronically manage medical records in patients' files- precision and accuracy are vital to this job.
  • Understand the basic concept of medical records, privacy and stewardship of patient information.
  • Billing skills will be taught as required.
  • The office uses Accuro for the medical records but if the candidate is familiar with another EMR system, they will be taught how to use Accuro.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
