Job Title: Medical Office Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: New Oakridge Park Medical Office (Currently at Oakmont Medical Building with anticipated Fall 2026 move)

Practice: Dr. Victor T.L. Tsang, General Surgeon (Established solo practice since 2001)

Team: Collaborate with 1 part-time staff member

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and detail-oriented Full-Time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support. The ideal candidate is a people-oriented problem solver with initiative

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Relations: Greet and check in patients, verify demographic details, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Administration: Manage phone calls, emails, faxes, and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Clinical Support: Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms between patients; take vital signs and prepare rooms for procedures.
  • Office Operations: Manage office/medical supply inventories and ensure equipment is maintained.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. (Formal MOA training certification is preferred).
  • Experience: Previous MOA or medical office experience is required. Experience with Telus CHR or other EMR is highly preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Ability to converse in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly desirable to serve our patient population.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and good judgment in a medical environment.
