Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist and be the friendly face that sets the tone for exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within a busy medical or dental office. Your energetic and organized approach will help create a welcoming environment while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the practice
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and relay messages efficiently
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately within electronic medical records platforms
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before appointmentsSkills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix to document patient information accurately
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office environment is highly desirable
  • Prior medical or dental office experience demonstrating familiarity with front desk procedures and administrative tasks
  • Excellent communication skills to handle multi-line phone systems confidently and professionally
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic office experience with proficiency in managing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
