Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage electronic medical records, and assist with administrative tasks within a busy medical or dental office. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with office software, and familiarity with medical and dental terminology. The Medical Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, forms, and other documentation
  • Support clinical staff by handling administrative tasks related to patient flow and record keeping
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and professional at all times
  • Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, and correspondence management

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant preferred
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix required
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is highly desirable
  • Experience with office software including Microsoft Office Suite is essential
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous office experience in healthcare settings is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively

Pay: $17.38-$28.92 per hour
