Full job description

We're a fee-for-service general practice with a 5-star Google rating across 287 reviews. We're hiring one administrator, and we're hiring with a long view: we want someone who takes ownership of the front office and grows into greater management responsibility as the practice grows. That means real training, real ownership within your first few months, and a defined path, not "opportunity for growth" as a filler line.

What you'll own

  • Front desk and phones: new-patient calls, scheduling, confirmations, recall
  • Insurance and billing: pre-authorizations, claim submission and follow-up, patient estimates, payment collection
  • Treatment coordination: presenting plans, booking, following up on unscheduled treatment
  • Keeping the day running: schedule flow, chart accuracy, and catching problems before the dentist has to

Who this is for

  • Sharp, organized, and precise. You notice the wrong insurance code, the double-booked column, the recall that slipped. Details are the job.
  • Warm and composed with patients, including anxious ones and difficult ones.
  • Takes ownership. Fixes the problem, then tells us — doesn't wait to be told.
  • Wants this as a career, not a stopgap.
  • Dental office experience strongly preferred — you know your way around scheduling, insurance, and treatment coordination and want to own it, not just cover it. Exceptional candidates from medical or high-end hospitality front desks will be considered.

Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Available Saturday schedule — this is firm, please confirm in your application
  • Fluent written and spoken English

What we offer

  • $28–$36/hr depending on experience, structured review and raise at 6 months, compensation that grows with responsibility
  • Extended health and dental coverage, paid time off, uniform allowance
  • Hands-on training from an experienced admin team and a practice owner who invests in his people
  • A stable, established practice — not a startup, not a corporate chain

To apply

Send your resume and a short note describing a time you caught a mistake or prevented a problem that others had missed. Confirm your Saturday availability. Put the words Healthy Smiles in the first line of your note so we know you read the full posting
