Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Administrator – Part-Time

South Vancouver Physiotherapy Clinic is looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Administrator to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.

We are an established and busy physiotherapy clinic located inside the Real Canadian Superstore at 350 SE Marine Drive in South Vancouver, providing physiotherapy, registered massage therapy and kinesiology services.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is organized and dependable, and is interested in a stable, long-term position in a professional healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional front-desk service
  • Answer phones, emails and patient inquiries
  • Schedule, change and manage patient appointments
  • Check patients in and out
  • Process payments and invoices
  • Assist with extended-health insurance billing
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records
  • Assist with ICBC and WorkSafeBC claims and administrative requirements
  • Communicate with patients, practitioners and insurance providers
  • Support physiotherapists, massage therapists and other clinic staff
  • Complete general administrative duties and help keep the clinic organized and running efficiently

What We’re Looking For

Previous relevant work experience is required.

Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in:

  • Medical or healthcare reception
  • Physiotherapy, rehabilitation or multidisciplinary clinics
  • Dental or other professional healthcare offices
  • Medical office administration
  • Busy front-desk or administrative positions

The ideal candidate is:

  • Friendly, professional and comfortable communicating with patients
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to manage several tasks at once in a busy environment
  • Comfortable with computers and able to learn new software quickly
  • A strong communicator by phone, email and in person
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respectful of patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Interested in a reliable, long-term position

Jane App / Jane EMR Experience – Strongly Preferred

Previous experience using Jane App is a significant advantage and applicants with Jane experience will receive preference.

Experience with any of the following is particularly valuable:

  • Jane App / Jane EMR
  • Patient scheduling and electronic medical records
  • Jane billing and payment processing
  • Extended-health direct billing
  • ICBC claims
  • WorkSafeBC claims
  • Physiotherapy or rehabilitation clinic administration

If you have strong relevant medical, administrative or front-desk experience but have not previously used Jane App, we still encourage you to apply.

Applicants with previous Jane App, healthcare-clinic, physiotherapy, ICBC or WorkSafeBC experience will be given preference and may qualify toward the higher end of the pay range.
