Administrator — Child Development Centre Barrie, Ontario | Full-Time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | $40,000 – $45,000 per year (based on experience)
We are an Autism Centre in Barrie providing multidisciplinary support to children and families. As our Administrator, you will be managing scheduling, client records, and daily office functions while serving as a point of contact for the families we work with.
This is a role for someone who is highly organized and genuinely invested in a mission-driven
environment. You will work closely with clinical and leadership staff to ensure that operations run smoothly so our team can focus on the children and families they serve.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a professional and responsive first point of contact for parents, caregivers, and referral sources
- Manage scheduling and appointments using the Jane platform
- Maintain accurate and confidential client files and records
- Create, edit, and manage documents, forms, reports, and correspondence
- Support clinical staff with administrative coordination as required
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and parent inquiries with professionalism and discretion
- Assist with office operations, administrative procedures, and special projects as directed by management
- Uphold confidentiality of all client and organisational information
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare, educational, or social services setting
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict professional boundaries in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication — clear, measured, and professional
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with scheduling software is an asset
- Familiarity with Jane App is a significant asset
- A high degree of discretion is essential — this role involves ongoing access to sensitive client, staff, and organisational information
- Comfortable operating as a calm, steady presence in a fast-paced clinical environment
- A genuine alignment with working in a child and family-centred environment
