Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, and facilitate seamless communication between patients and our dental professionals. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and courteously, directing calls appropriately
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while verifying insurance information
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and update patient information regularly
  • Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and assist with insurance claims using Epic or comparable systems
  • Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and specialists to ensure smooth workflow
  • Keep the front desk area organized, tidy, and stocked with necessary supplies

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar dental office environment
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
  • Prior experience working with medical or dental office administrative tasks is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing appointments and records
  • Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional front desk customer service
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
  • Knowledge of office software including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Dentrix is a plus
