Job Description


Seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented Field Management Supervisor for rotational work on the Faro Mine Remediation Project (FMRP). This position is based at the former Faro Mine site in Yukon.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Mine Manager regarding all day-to-day activities at the jobsite, ensuring effective coordination with the client's resident representatives.

  • Ensure that jobsite operations comply with design specifications, regulations, and quality standards, while achieving completion on schedule and within budget.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination among administrative field staff, field management staff, and Project Managers. Oversee the daily activities of field and office personnel, collaborating with AECOM Project Managers and field coordinators to develop, deliver, and manage field programs.

  • Implement and manage company and client Health and Safety programs. Provide support to AECOM Project Managers, field staff, and subcontractors to achieve and maintain Safety, Health, and Environment (SH&E) goals and objectives.

  • Ensure completion of the Vehicle Inspection Checklist.

  • Participate in Tailgate Meetings.

  • Conduct daily Tailgate/Coordination Meetings to ensure alignment and coordination among team members.

  • Deliver AECOM Site Orientation to new field staff, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared.

  • Attend Contractor Coordination Meetings to facilitate collaboration and communication.

  • Complete the Field Operations Manager (FOM) Daily Report to document activities and progress.

  • Maintain and manage daily SH&E documents to ensure compliance and safety standards.

  • Monitor and evaluate field operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support project objectives.

  • Provide training and mentorship to field staff to enhance skills and promote career development.

  • Ensure effective resource allocation and management to optimize field operations


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:

A technical diploma or degree combined with a minimum of 4 years of experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

A technical diploma or degree combined with a minimum 6 years of experience; alternatively, 8 years of directly relevant experience is acceptable.

  • Completion of First Line Supervisor Training

  • Leadership Safety Training

  • Experience in the mining industry
