Dental Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Full-Time Dental Administrator to join our growing dental practice. In this essential role, you will help ensure our office runs smoothly by delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating patient care, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our clinical team. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient coordination.
  • Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Process insurance claims and assist with billing and payment inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Support office operations to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Assist with medical and dental documentation and accurately code procedures for insurance claims.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and the dental team using appropriate dental and medical terminology.
  • Follow office policies and confidentiality standards while maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with sterilization procedures and help ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a dental office is highly preferred.
  • Experience with dental administration, patient scheduling, insurance processing, and billing.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with EMR software, particularly AbelDent, is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of medical coding, documentation, and records management is an asset.
  • Experience working in a sterilization centre is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Dental Assisting certification or a related credential is preferred but not required. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities are available.
