Alberta Eye MD was founded by our doctors in 2013. Our vision was to create a center of excellence in ophthalmic care. Alberta Eye MD is a multi-specialty facility offering a broad scope of eye services, including cataract, glaucoma, cornea, retina, and other eye-related diseases.

We are proud to have a state of the art facility with the most cutting edge diagnostic testing and treatments in Northern Alberta. This includes medical treatments and surgical procedures to address ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric and adult strabismus, as well as corneal and retinal diseases.

We aim to provide the highest quality of care for our patients, with a focus on maximizing the efficiency and utilization of healthcare resources.

We are growing and looking to add to our team! We’re looking for a Surgical Coordinator and/or Surgical Admin Assistant who is detail-oriented, reliable, professional and passionate about patient care.

This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Edmonton clinic.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and schedule cataract & glaucoma surgeries across multiple sites
  • Guide patients through surgical preparation and follow-up care
  • Manage patient records, consent forms, and surgical databases
  • Arrange preoperative/postoperative appointments
  • Collect payments for premium lenses
  • Communicate with patients by phone/email in a timely, supportive way
  • Enter surgical cases in Connect Care
  • Other duties as required

What We're Looking For:

  • High attention to detail
  • Team-oriented and patient first mindset
  • Experience scheduling surgeries in a medical setting (ophthalmology preferred)
  • Experience using Healthquest and Connect Care is an asset
  • Must be available for Saturdays as needed

This role comes with the potential to grow into expanded responsibilities over time.
