Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our two-physician specialty practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and manage clinic flow.
  • Room patients and do blood pressure and weight checks.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinic time.
  • Prepare patient charts and documentation in Accuro EMR, including scanning, faxing and filing.
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and other communications with patients and referring offices.
  • Handle billing, referrals, and medical documentation accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required to support the practice’s operations.

Requirements

  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing office tasks.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems; familiarity with Accuro is an asset.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology for effective communication within the office.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting (at least 1 year), preferably a specialist practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff members.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
