Full job description

Practice Operations Lead — Red Deer Area Dental Practice

A privately run, independently owned dental practice in the Red Deer area is looking for a Practice Operations Lead to help run a calm, well-organized clinic where the team and patients are genuinely cared for. As a private, owner-led practice, decisions are made close to the team rather than by a head office. This search is being handled confidentially.

This is a leadership role for someone who likes being the steady centre of a busy practice. You'll be the person the team comes to first, the one keeping the day-to-day running smoothly, and a trusted bridge between staff and the practice owner. This is a role built around real responsibility and autonomy, and for the right person who strengthens the team and earns that trust.

What you'll own

  • People and HR: supporting hiring, onboarding, staff scheduling, time-off, and the everyday questions and concerns team members bring forward
  • Scheduling and flow: resolving scheduling concerns and keeping the daily calendar working for both patients and providers
  • Reporting: preparing and reviewing KPI reports with the owners, and helping turn those numbers into practical decisions
  • Point of contact: being the first person staff come to, and the link who brings the right issues to the owners with solutions, not just problems
  • Culture: helping keep the clinic a supportive, values-driven place to work

Who we're looking for

  • A natural organizer and problem-solver who stays calm when the day gets busy
  • Strong people skills and real comfort with the sensitive, confidential side of HR
  • Experience leading or coordinating a team, ideally in a dental, medical, or other busy service setting. Direct experience as a dental office manager or practice coordinator is a strong asset
  • Technically capable: comfortable with practice management software, scheduling and reporting tools, and quick to learn and adopt new technology
  • Comfort with numbers and reporting, and the judgment to act on what they show
  • Someone who values integrity and follow-through, and who takes ownership without needing to be managed closely

The details

  • Full-time, with flexible hours
  • Salary $80,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Performance bonus potential based on practice and team goals
  • Privately owned practice in the Red Deer area

To apply in confidence, send your resume and a short note about why this role fits you to centralalbertahiringmanager@tuta.com. All inquiries will be handled discreetly.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Dental care
  • Flexible schedule
