Full job description

The position is for a nurse working in a community based clinic specializing in venous disease management (phlebology).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in patient consultation
  • Assist in ultrasound assessment of patients
  • Assist in ultrasound guided sclerotherapy of varicose veins
  • Assist in endovenous laser ablation
  • Perform sclerotherapy of small cosmetic veins
  • Take patient vitals
  • Preparation of procedure trays/stations
  • Autoclave/steam sterilization of procedural tools
  • Communicate with patients over the phone
  • Compression stocking fitting
  • Manage medical supplies
  • Minor wound care
  • Supply management and ordering
  • Support front reception

Desired work experience:

Any degree of experience would be considered.

Education:

Registered Nurse - Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Skills:

  • Procedural assistance
  • Autoclaving/Steam sterilization
  • Experience using electronic medical records
