Full job description

Cambridge Skin and Wellness is the partnership between Dr. Arnott, who is a Family Medicine Specialist with a focused practice in dermatology, and Nurse Practitioner (NP) Anna Pelleboer. We are passionate about skin and offer skin care services and treatments including general medical, surgical, and cosmetic (aesthetic) dermatology services and products.

We are looking for a Medical Aesthetician to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Discussing medical grade skin care and making treatment plans
  • Providing facials, microneedling, chemical peels, laser hair removal and other laser treatments
  • Assisting with medical procedures
  • Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule
  • Welcoming patients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure
  • Interviewing patients to obtain information about contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate the suitability of treatments
  • Engaging and conversing with patients during sessions on topics relating to their interests
  • Maintain quality service by following clinic protocols
  • Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell services, and retail products
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and competence within the medical aesthetics industry
  • Assisting with office tasks

Qualifications

  • Canadian Medical Aesthetics Diploma or Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years of Medical Aesthetician experience in a medical dermatology setting or medical spa
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a warm, friendly manner
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team setting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
