CLINICAL ASSISTANT – CARDIOMETABOLIC COLLABORATIVE CLINIC

The Cardiometabolic Collaborative Clinic is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Clinical Assistant to join our team. This role involves coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of a busy clinic alongside another administrator.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily clinic activities and ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Take patient histories, vitals, and ECGs
  • Manage incoming referrals and waitlists with accuracy and timeliness
  • Schedule patient appointments, triage patient needs, and coordinate care with appropriate urgency
  • Monitor and respond to clinic communications, including emails, phones, and faxes
  • Ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care throughout the clinic day
  • Support the clinic team in maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and administrative excellence
  • Monitor quality assurance and data collection on patient characteristics and outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as biology, microbiology, health sciences, or another relevant discipline
  • Experience in healthcare or an administrative role, such as working as a laboratory assistant, pharmacy assistant, medical office assistant, or similar, is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a detail-oriented manner, with high accuracy and attention to administrative processes
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • A proactive work ethic, effective communication skills, and a desire to support both patients and the clinical team

Additional Information:

  • Training will be provided by our physician and experienced staff
  • We are seeking a long-term candidate to ensure continuity and stability within the clinic, as the learning curve is steep and ongoing
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant healthcare or administrative experience who are looking for a long-term role
  • The position will be full-time (Monday to Friday)
  • Remuneration is based on experience
