Your Role

As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading day-to-day laboratory operations while supporting team development, quality, and safety. You will ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality data on time, while optimizing resources and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop laboratory staff (recruitment, performance management, training, career development)
  • Plan and allocate resources (staffing, equipment, supplies) to meet operational needs
  • Ensure laboratory processes meet regulatory and quality standards
  • Monitor productivity, efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support budgeting and strategic planning with leadership
  • Act as a technical resource for internal teams and clients
  • Maintain strong collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Promote and maintain a positive, safe, and compliant work environment
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and applicable legislation
  • Conduct safety meetings, PPE audits, and workplace inspections
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and reduce non-conformances
What You Bring
  • B.Sc., technical diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience as a Senior Analyst (strong asset)
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory processes, automation, and LIMS
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced laboratory environment with high workload volume
  • Flexible hours, including potential overtime or shift work
  • Standing for extended periods and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)
  • Handling of hazardous materials following strict safety protocols
