Location: Rural Community, Ontario

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our hospital team for a two (2) month term with the possibility of an extension.

Travel & accommodation covered.

Proof of COVID vaccination required

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario or be eligible for registration;
  • Must have the ability to work in Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Chemistry, Microbiology and Immunology;
  • Minimum one-year experience as a general duty technologist an asset;

General hospital experience is an asset.

Job Duties:

  • General laboratory duties as required in the following departments: Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Immunology;
  • Specimen procurement and handling;
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts;
  • Dependable, competent and continued ability to carry out responsibilities;
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional responsibility;
  • Must be physically capable of performing duties of the position.
  • Must adhere to organizational policies and procedures concerning cleaning, hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment in support of Infection Control measures and attend training when necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $75.00 per hour
