Launch Your Career in Agricultural Science – 3-Month Lab Assistant Contracts in Saskatoon!
Synergie is recruiting for several Lab Assistants in the Chemical Industry in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Are you passionate about laboratory science and agricultural innovation? We are seeking Lab Assistants for 3-month contract opportunities in Saskatoon, SK. In this hands-on role, you will perform biochemical analyses that support seed research and production, work with laboratory instrumentation, manage analytical data, and contribute to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives in a collaborative laboratory environment.
A typical day:
  • Perform biochemical laboratory analyses while meeting established timelines
  • Interpret analytical results and troubleshoot equipment, methods, and testing issues
  • Maintain accurate data records and prepare analytical reports
  • Support the validation, optimization, and implementation of laboratory procedures
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, and adherence to safety and quality standards

Successful candidates will have:
  • Hold a B.Sc. degree or a minimum 2-year technical diploma in biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
  • Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory safety practices and possess WHMIS certification
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; experience with gas chromatography is an asset
  • Apply quality control and quality assurance principles in a laboratory setting
  • Communicate effectively, stay organized, and work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Do you have any restrictions that would prevent you from regularly lifting and moving boxes weighing 20–40 lbs?
  • Do you hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation to travel to a work site located approximately 8 km outside Saskatoon where public transportation is unavailable?
