Family Physician Offices ( -3 Medical offices within 1-5 km distance )

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and conscientious individual to work with three family physicians, located in Kitchener and Waterloo

The ideal candidate would be/have the following skills:

  • motivated, affable and willing to learn
  • Experience in the Family Practice office is an asset for at least 2-3 years
  • experience in electronic medical records, we use Telus EMR.
  • registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing

Responsibilities INCLUDE but are not restricted to:

  • bringing patients from the waiting room, getting heights and weights, taking vital signs, and documenting the above in a chart
  • immunisations and injections for adults and children.
  • Prescription refill services ( training will be provided )
  • wound care and suture/staple removal
  • ear syringing
  • assisting with minor procedures
  • chaperoning as needed
  • taking patient history, assessing, and educating
  • triaging patient phone calls and giving counselling over the phone on general medical subjects, and helping with reception.
  • calling patients about lab and imaging results, as well as relaying physician messages
  • ordering vaccines when needed
  • sterilising equipment and ordering supplies
  • Pap smears and vaginal swabs, etc. ( training and certification can be provided if needed )

Expected Start Date: September 2026 ( flexible)

Schedule:

  • 37.5 Hrs per week at 3 Medical offices ( located nearby)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
