Become a Member of the Pain Care Clinics’ Healthcare Team

Pain Care Clinics provides safe, multidisciplinary treatments for patients that suffer from sub-acute, and chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP). Through exemplary and customized treatment, pain will no longer be a barrier to daily functioning, productivity, and quality of life.

PCC is growing and looking to partner with Pain Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Clinic Nurses, Diagnostic Technicians, and other healthcare providers to join our network of multi-disciplinary Pain and Diagnostic Clinics across Canada. The MRT provides the safe and effective delivery of x-rays to patients during their pain interventional treatments. The technician ensures that he/she adheres to all clinic policies, standards and practices.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Patient preparation for the performance of Fluoroscopy guided interventions
  • Operate fluoroscopy machine during procedures, under direction of the physician, in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Record and process patient data
  • Wearing protective equipment as required
  • Perform basic quality control checks on equipment
  • Update, file and maintain client information
  • Review of written reports and discussion with physicians
  • Assist with facility flow of patients through the clinic and coordinate with medical team to ensure patient centric service delivery
  • Establishes priorities and makes ethically sound decisions to ensure safe patient care
  • Prepares treatment room for examination and treatment of patient
  • Collaborating with other health care professionals
  • Participating in continuing education
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and how to clean and decontaminate it.
  • Assists in training new staff, and/or support staff engaged in clinic activities
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Certification with the CMRITO and General Radiography experience
  • Experience in Fluoroscopy guided interventions preferred
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior patient care and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and emotional stability to cope with emergencies, stress and human suffering
  • Strong ability to maintain safety and quality as well as infection control standards
  • Strong knowledge with medical equipment
