Full job description

Medical Receptionist

Amberlea Medical Center is seeking a reliable, proactive team member to support both front desk operations and clinical duties in a fast-paced medical clinic.

This is a hybrid role requiring strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills. You will often be handling phones, patients, and physician requests at the same time.

Responsibilities

Front Desk / Clinic Support

  • Manage patient appointments using EMR (OSCAR Pro preferred)
  • Handle patient inquiries (phone and in-person)
  • Triage patients and support physicians during visits
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients
  • Maintain front desk and waiting area
  • Follow up on consults and patient requests

Clinical Duties (if Certified for Phlebotomy)

  • Perform phlebotomy (blood draws)
  • Prepare and organize lab samples for pickup
  • Administer vaccines (preferred)

Good-to-Have

  • Experience working in a medical clinic or reception environment
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (OSCAR Pro is an asset)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinic
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is an asset

  • Hours: 30–44 per week
  • Job Type: Full-time
