Full job description
Missinippi Airways is seeking Advanced Care Paramedics (ACPs) to join our fixed-wing air ambulance medical flight crew, providing patient-centred interfacility and community medical transport throughout northern Manitoba.
This is an aeromedical transport position, not a conventional ground-ambulance role. Successful candidates must be comfortable providing clinical care in a confined aircraft environment, working independently, collaborating with pilots and remote healthcare providers, and adapting to the operational demands of northern and remote-community medicine.
Our medical flight crews work closely with aviation personnel, nursing stations, hospitals and healthcare partners to provide safe, timely and clinically appropriate transport for patients across Manitoba.
Missinippi Airways is a 100% First Nations-owned air service providing aviation and medevac services to northern Manitoba communities.
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting salary: $150,000/year
- Salary progression up to $210,000/year under the Medical Flight Crew pay scale
- Full-time, predictable 13 days on / 13 days off rotation
- Company-provided staff accommodation during scheduled rotations
- Travel to and from Winnipeg provided for scheduled rotations
- Meaningful clinical work supporting northern, rural and remote communities
Benefits
- Company pension
- Extended health and dental benefits
- Vision care
- Life insurance
- Employee assistance program
- Commuter/travel benefits
- Required certification and recertification costs covered by Missinippi Airways
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced, clinically capable Advanced Care Paramedic who can function effectively in an aeromedical environment and understands that flight medicine requires more than strong traditional ambulance skills.
The ideal candidate is:
- Clinically confident and capable of working with a high degree of independence
- Comfortable assessing and treating patients in a confined and changing environment
- Able to make sound clinical decisions while recognizing when additional medical or operational guidance is required
- Adaptable to remote, northern and resource-variable environments
- Comfortable working closely with pilots, nurses, physicians, hospitals and nursing stations
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused
- Comfortable with scheduled rotations and living in company-provided accommodation
- Able to work effectively in changing weather and operational conditions
- Interested in building a long-term career in aeromedical/flight medicine
Previous flight or air-medical experience is an asset, but is not mandatory.

- Satisfactory Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to work a 13-on / 13-off rotational schedule
- Ability to reside in company-provided accommodation during scheduled rotations
- Ability to work in fixed-wing aircraft and remote/northern operational environments
- Ability to meet the physical, professional and operational requirements of the position
