Medical Administrator – Ambulatory Surgical CenterJob Description

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Administrator to assist the Medical Director with the day-to-day management and operation of an ambulatory surgical center.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills, be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and be able to coordinate effectively with surgeons, referring hospitals, clinical staff, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Medical Director with the daily administration and operation of the ambulatory surgical center.
  • Answer and respond to telephone calls and emails from referring hospitals, surgeons, healthcare professionals, and other partners.
  • Coordinate and book operating room time for surgeons and surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Order medical and surgical supplies and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintain organized administrative and surgical records.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, hospitals, suppliers, and other external partners.
  • Assist with general office administration and other operational duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative team to ensure the surgical center operates efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills
