Full job description

Vivid Eye Care is looking for a warm, professional team member who loves to provide a "wow" patient experience. We believe in relationships, growth, community support, and work-life balance. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an optometric assistant/receptionist to help patients see a lifetime of beauty through healthy eyes.

Our multi-optometrist clinics are full-scope family practices with an emphasis on state-of-the-art eye care, fashion-forward quality eyewear, and personalized service. This position will be based out of our Cranston location, but the flexibility to work out of our Meadows Mile location would be valuable.

All related eye care, optometric assistant, optician, COA, COT, COMT, ophthalmic assistant, ophthalmic technician, optical, or pretester experience would be valuable. While optometry or ophthalmology experience is preferred, we will consider training someone with medical assistant experience and a strong service background. The position will require efficient, detail-oriented and friendly patient care as you take case histories, imaging and measurements on our state-of-the-art equipment, scribe for and assist our doctors in the exam room.

In this important clinic position, you will also warmly welcome patients to our practice. You will be organized and detail-oriented, as you schedule appointments, invoice & bill Alberta Health, run insurance, as well as perform a variety of other admin tasks at the front desk.

If you enjoy working with people of all ages in person, on the phone, and online, please apply. The clinic offers a wonderful working environment, professional optometrists and a fun team to work with 3-5 days/week (we're flexible), which may include some evening and Saturday shifts. Since this is an expanding practice, there will be opportunities for professional growth and business building for all members of our cross-trained team. Our compensation package includes a bonus structure, health spending account and training opportunities.

Please see our website at www.vivideyecare.ca to ensure our business, locations and hours are a good fit for you. Thank you for your interest in Vivid Eye Care - applications will be handled in confidence.

To be considered, please send an email (subject Cranston Optometric Assistant) including your resume (with your postal code) and a customized cover letter and/or video message showing us why you’re the best person for the position to hiring@vivideyecare.ca. Please do not call our clinic as our phone lines are for our patients.
