Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Medical Equipment Technician to join our growing team. This role involves delivering, installing, maintaining, and repairing home medical equipment. You’ll interact directly with clients and caregivers, providing service that is respectful, informative, and reassuring.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver and install medical equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, patient lifts, etc.
  • Perform inspections, modifications, maintenance, and minor repairs in homes and our service shop.
  • Educate clients and caregivers on proper equipment use and safety.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to ensure clients receive the most suitable equipment for their individual needs.
  • Ensure all documentation, delivery checklists, and service records are completed accurately.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness by following all protocols and company standards.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of mechanical or electrical experience (preferred).
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean abstract (required).
  • Previous work experience in the medical industry (preferred).
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and doing physical work.
  • Comfortable with using hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Google Workspace, email, internet).
  • Criminal Record Check (required prior to start).
  • Secondary School Diploma (required).

Schedule

  • Full-time | Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weekend availability may be required.
  • Overtime available and paid accordingly.
