Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. We are committed to sustainable development, environmental protection, and building strong communities. We believe in empowering our people, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for meaningful careers as we build the mines of the future.

As part of the Health & Safety Team, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and foster a safety mindset at all levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed of federal, provincial, and local health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and regularly review health and safety programs, policies, and procedures, including legislatively required updates.
  • Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Develop, organize, and deliver health and safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Facilitate Occupational Health and Safety Committee activities in accordance with the Saskatchewan OHS Act and 2020 Regulations.
  • Communicate safety information and promote awareness across the organization.
  • Lead hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) activities.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with leaders to implement corrective actions and continuously improve safety performance.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including incident investigations, training records, meeting minutes, and regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as the designated Mine Rescue Coordinator, overseeing training programs, emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and firefighting plans (with execution by the PCP/ERT Coordinator).
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging participation in safety initiatives and reporting.
  • Recognize and promote safety achievements and contributions across the organization.
  • Manage and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety coordination or related role.
  • Must possess the required certification as a Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator.
  • Professional designation such as Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and health and safety management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and commitment to continuous learning.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.

  • Employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • RRSP with company match
  • Camp-based position with travel support

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan is committed to building a skilled and diverse workforce as we move into our next phase of growth. Indigenous applicants are encouraged to self-declare when submitting applications and resumes. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, you must be legally able to work in Canada.

The McIlvenna Bay Project site is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position and the remote work environment, candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which includes drug and alcohol testing, as a condition of employment.

Deadline for applications to be submitted is: July 23, 2026
