Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief and Medical Director of Emergency Department, and working closely with the existing Physician Assistant team, under the direction and supervision of a registered Physician, and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario’s policy on delegation, the Physician Assistant (PA) provides medical care to patients based on mutually agreed upon guidelines. This position will assist flow through the Emergency department. As a PA, you will work as part of our team in our high acuity emergency department.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Current BCLS
  • Current ACLS preferred
  • Demonstrates life-long learning
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Current Emergency Room PA experience a strong asset
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Criminal Record Check required
