Full job description

This position starts August 12 and runs until September 23rd., however, as more positions open we will keep you on the roster for future opportunities.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Set Medic to join our production team for TV and film projects. The Set Medic plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of cast and crew on set, providing immediate medical attention when needed, and maintaining a safe filming environment. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong medical knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently. Prior hospital experience and familiarity with medical terminology are highly desirable. The Set Medic will be responsible for managing medical emergencies, administering medication, and supporting overall health-related needs during production.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical care to cast and crew on set
  • Assess injuries or illnesses and determine appropriate course of action
  • Administer medications as authorized and necessary, following proper protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medical incidents and treatments administered
  • Assist with heavy lifting or physical tasks related to injury management or equipment handling
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Maintain a well-stocked first aid kit and ensure all medical supplies are up-to-date
  • Communicate effectively with emergency services if further medical assistance is required
  • Support patient care by monitoring individuals until professional medical help arrives or they are stabilized

Qualifications

  • EMR, RPN, RN, Paramedic license in good standing.
  • Prior Film Set Experience is preferred.
  • Prior hospital experience or background in emergency or patient care settings is an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols within a production environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, or other relevant emergency response training is required or highly preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including long shifts on set as needed
  • Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient care and safety during high-stress situations
  • Must have access to reliable vehcile.

Pay based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
