Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily clinic operations by providing exceptional front-desk service, managing electronic medical records, and assisting physicians and staff in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule appointments and efficiently manage patient flow using the clinic’s electronic medical records system.
  • Answer and direct calls through a multi-line phone system and take detailed messages when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Accuro EMR.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process payments as required.
  • Perform administrative duties, including filing, scanning, data entry, and document management.
  • Prepare examination rooms and help maintain a clean and organized clinic environment.
  • Support physicians and clinical staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and clinic policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant is preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems, particularly Accuro EMR, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
  • Experience operating office equipment, including multi-line phone systems, printers, and scanners.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience in a dental or medical office setting is considered an asset.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
