Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario
Posting Area: Thunder Bay and surrounding communities

Rate: $80 to 90 per hour
Start Date: July 20th, 2026

Augury Healthcare is currently seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) for opportunities in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated laboratory professional looking to support healthcare services across Northern Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate and timely test results, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

The Medical Laboratory Technologist may be responsible for:

  • Collecting, preparing, testing, and analyzing laboratory specimens
  • Performing routine and specialized laboratory procedures
  • Ensuring accuracy, quality control, and proper documentation of test results
  • Following laboratory safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and reporting issues as required
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to support patient care

Qualifications

  • Current Medical Laboratory Technologist registration in good standing with the applicable regulatory body
  • Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, or healthcare laboratory setting is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in rural and northern healthcare settings
