The Role

Maximize the sale of lift trucks and other products within a defined geographical territory and/or an established number of accounts as defined by branch management. Develop existing accounts and identify new prospects. Problem-solve, consult, and assist existing and potential new customers. Participate in a team selling approach including various other sales and service personnel with specialty roles. This position reports to the Sales Manager.

  • Manage the full sales process within assigned territory and/or accounts, including prospecting, developing existing accounts, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Analyze market opportunities and build strong relationships with key decision-makers to enhance the company’s position.
  • Consult and problem-solve to address customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute a territory management plan to maximize customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
  • Prepare proposals, forecasts, quotations, and customer correspondence to support sales activities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations to showcase solutions and drive customer interest.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and activity using online tools and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to review sales activities and strategies.
  • Participate in training programs at local, regional, and corporate levels to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Attend sales meetings and assist in resolving accounts receivable or service issues as needed.
  • Support team initiatives and contribute to team-building activities at the discretion of sales management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a sales representative.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business or a related field.
  • Proven success in developing new business opportunities.
  • Confidence in public speaking settings.
  • Some experience with complex contract negotiations is an asset.
  • Ability and perseverance to break into long standing competitive accounts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Superior customer service personality attributes required.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft products, Power Point etc.
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills.


Day-to-day activities are at the discretion of management. This position may be asked to aid other members of the sales and marketing department.
