Territory Sales Representative

Build a Territory. Grow Your Network. Be Rewarded for Your Success.

Techniquip Equipment Sales & Service is one of Ontario’s leading equipment dealerships and the largest SANY dealer in the province. With multiple locations and a growing footprint, we are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Territory Sales Representative who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and delivering solutions that help customers succeed.

This is more than a sales role — it’s an opportunity to build a territory, grow your network, and make a direct impact on the success of both our customers and our company.

If you’re competitive, self-driven, and enjoy meeting people, solving problems, and closing deals, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and grow a designated sales territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with contractors, business owners, fleet managers, and decision makers.
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts while actively prospecting for new customers.
  • Conduct customer visits, equipment demonstrations, and product presentations.
  • Understand customer challenges and recommend solutions that deliver value and improve productivity.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, social media, and industry events.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments — including parts, service, rentals, and management — to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent Techniquip and SANY at trade shows, industry events, and customer functions.

What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B, B2C, equipment, construction, industrial, rental, or related sales environments.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets.
  • Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills, including cold calling, email outreach, networking, and social media engagement.
  • Excellent communication and active-listening skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs rather than simply sell a product.
  • Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
  • Ability to build trust, establish rapport, and create long-term customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the resilience to overcome challenges and rejection.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Product & Business Knowledge

  • Ability to learn and develop a strong understanding of equipment, products, and services to effectively guide customers through the buying process.
  • Understanding of pricing, margins, profitability, and sales performance metrics.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
  • Ability to analyze territory performance and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, with regular customer and job-site visits.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

What We Offer

  • Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year, plus uncapped commission
  • Uncapped commission program
  • Company vehicle
  • Fuel card
  • Dental care
  • Extended health care
  • Vision care
  • Ongoing product training and professional development
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization
