  • This is a field role for the territory of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

At AstraZeneca, we pride ourselves on crafting a collaborative culture that champions knowledge-sharing, ambitious thinking and innovation – ultimately providing employees with the opportunity to work across teams, functions and even the globe.

Our dedication to sustainability is also central to our culture and part of what makes AstraZeneca a great place to work. We know the health of people, the planet and our business are interconnected which is why we’re taking ambitious action to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to access to healthcare and disease prevention.

Are you ready to lead a complex territory and turn scientific insight into real progress for people living with gynecologic and genitourinary cancers? In this field-based role, you will shape priorities across Western Canada and build the strategic partnerships that help appropriate patients access the right therapy at the right time.

You will join a focused oncology team working at the intersection of evidence, access and execution. Using your scientific credibility and business acumen, you will identify barriers across the patient pathway, co-create solutions with care teams and drive high-quality launches and indication expansions. How will you use data, relationships and disciplined planning to deliver measurable impact for customers and patients across AB, SK and MB?

Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Territory Leadership: Own the territory plan end-to-end, setting clear priorities and measurable outcomes based on performance data, customer insights and local market dynamics.
  • Insight-Driven Account Planning: Build and maintain robust plans for priority accounts and treatment centres, including stakeholder mapping, patient pathways, competitive context and opportunities to improve care.
  • Scientific and Customer Engagement: Earn trust with oncologists, urologists, gynecologic oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, pathologists and administrators by delivering accurate, relevant and compliant scientific exchange that informs appropriate clinical action.
  • Omnichannel Excellence: Design and execute a tailored mix of high-value in-person interactions and appropriate digital and virtual touchpoints to maximize relevance and follow-through.
  • Patient Pathway and Launch Execution: Identify barriers across diagnosis, biomarker testing, referral, treatment and access; partner cross-functionally to develop compliant solutions; execute launches and indication expansions with pace and quality.
  • Field Insights to Strategy: Continuously gather and synthesize field insights to strengthen brand strategy, refine customer experience and improve future execution.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate account strategies with Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Diagnostics, Analytics and other field partners to create clarity, avoid duplication and accelerate progress in shared accounts.
  • Operational Rigor: Use CRM, analytics and digital tools consistently to enhance planning, execution and insight quality; manage territory resources responsibly and maintain accurate, timely records.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Uphold applicable laws, industry codes and company policies; report adverse events and product quality complaints promptly; ensure a safe and professional approach to travel and engagements.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or specialty-care sales; oncology and institutional account-management experience are strong assets.
  • Strong scientific and clinical learning agility, with the ability to communicate complex evidence clearly and appropriately.
  • Proven strategic account-planning capability, including the use of data, insights, stakeholder mapping and patient-pathway analysis to drive measurable action.
  • A consistent record of building credible customer relationships, influencing without authority and navigating complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, organization, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently across a large geography while contributing actively to a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Comfort using CRM, analytics, virtual-engagement and digital tools to enhance customer experience and territory effectiveness.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory, including overnight travel.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Direct experience in oncology sales within gynecologic and/or genitourinary cancers
  • Institutional account management across academic centres and community networks
  • Proven success executing product launches and indication expansions in specialty care
  • Familiarity with diagnostics and biomarker testing workflows and stakeholders
  • Strength in designing omnichannel engagement strategies that improve reach and relevance
  • Experience collaborating with Market Access, Medical and Diagnostics partners on account strategies
  • Track record of translating complex data into clear choices and measurable progress in priority accounts
