Full job description

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Senior Planner, Supply Operations, you own how tactical supply planning turns complex supply scenarios into clear decisions that keep product flowing to the business. You are the supply subject-matter expert across our tier 1 and tier 2 networks — the person the regions and the sourcing organization rely on to surface risk early, align on mitigation, and shape the buy. You connect supply impacts to business performance, influence the trade-offs that get made, and raise the bar on how the team plans. You operate as a strategic partner — building the relationships and planning cadence that keep our regions and the sourcing organization aligned from scenario through buy placement. It’s a highly cross-functional role with real ownership and visible impact across the global supply chain.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

Planning aligns inventory, supply, and business priorities to ensure products are available where and when they are needed. The team develops planning strategies, establishes key priorities and KPIs, and partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Sourcing, and Operations teams to deliver integrated plans. Through scenario planning, supply-demand balancing, and forecast optimization, Global Planning enables informed decision-making and agile responses to evolving business needs. By connecting long-range strategy with day-to-day execution, the team helps drive operational efficiency, inventory productivity, and sustainable growth across the global business.

If you were in the Senior Planner, Supply Operations role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Acting as the primary supply point of contact for the regions and the sourcing organization, building the relationships and planning cadence that keep plans aligned
  • Owning supply supportability reporting through the tactical horizon
  • Driving the holistic view of T1/T2 mitigation scenarios through planning stage-gates, up to buy placement
  • Translating supply impacts for the business and regions ahead of seasonal buy placements
  • Leading the supply response into IBP, partnering with Global Inventory Planning to translate the global supply plan into regional impacts — mitigating risks and seizing opportunities
  • Partnering with the sourcing organization (Finished Goods and Raw Material Supply teams) to shape buy strategies across T1/T2 — LLT exceptions, one-time buys, MOQ reviews, buy windows, and material pre-positioning
  • Owning and executing the monthly “Need to Buy” process and seasonal calendars for buy dates and shipping schedules
  • Owning capacity risk assessments and driving resolution with global and regional planning teams
  • Synthesizing capacity and production updates into clear regional communication
  • Partnering with Global and Regional Merchandising and Demand Planning teams to adjust plans as forecast or capacity shifts
  • Analyzing buy acceptance rates to surface risks and opportunities, and translating them into action

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Driving process improvements that scale across the supply planning process
  • Creating risk and mitigation strategies and playbooks to support T1/T2 scenario planning
  • Mentoring team members in support of their development

Are you our next Senior Planner, Supply Operations?

  • You have 5-8 years experience in supply planning, production planning, or a relevant supply chain role
  • You build strong partnerships across regions and the sourcing organization, and can influence decisions without direct authority
  • You have expert knowledge of T1/T2 supply planning and production processes, and a strong grasp of end-to-end supply chain flow
  • You have a strong data analysis background, with hands-on experience in o9, Excel, and Power BI
  • You have solid knowledge of SAP and/or an equivalent ERP/planning system and order management processes
  • You have a track record of mentoring and developing others
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication, strong business judgment, and a sharp eye for detail and accuracy, with a drive to improve processes and systems
  • You have advanced analytical skills to investigate, troubleshoot, audit, and resolve complex issues amid uncertainty and ambiguity
  • You are self-motivated and work well independently and as a collaborative cross-functional partner
  • You are proactive in identifying root causes and developing solutions
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt) and/or APICS supply chain certification is an asset
  • You have strong time management skills, work well under deadlines and pressure, and can prioritize across multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy a people-facing role
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is CAD$94,000 - CAD$124,000
