Quality Measurement & Clinical Decision Support (QM&CDS) provides leadership and expertise in the development of integrated analytics and methodologies for measurement to support operational efficiency, quality improvement, and strategic initiatives. QM&CDS drives innovation in healthcare analytics through robust data infrastructure and integrated information solutions.

The Integrated Analytics Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines for Lawson Research Institute. Reporting to the QM&CDS Manager of Integrated Analytics, this position will have a specific focus on Lawson Research Institute priorities and will work in collaboration with Lawson Research Institute Leadership and key stakeholders to understand operational and research needs. The position will provide a broad range of data engineering functions including data modeling, data quality, data profiling, data acquisition and ingestion, extract-transform-load (ETL), metadata enrichment and management, data provenance and lineage, and other specialized data management functions.

Duties and responsibilities will include data solution development, development and optimization of data pipelines using SSIS, Azure tools, APIs, and custom integration from in-house systems, clinical applications, research repositories and cloud service providers, analytics product development, and performance and workflow optimization.

The Consultant will ensure organizational and departmental standards related to:
  • Best practices related to data infrastructure management and technical documentation to support operations and research
  • Leveraging AI capabilities to automate data preparation, transformation, and analysis tasks, enhancing data engineering workflows
  • Data quality, integrity and security within on-premises and cloud environments



Essential Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Four-year bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience as a data engineer, including healthcare sector experience with enterprise and clinical systems data infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts, and database optimization including referential integrity, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
  • ETL experience with APIs, custom ETL pipelines, and integration testing using Python, Java, and SQL, and experience developing and supporting enterprise data integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • AI and Machine Learning familiarity
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Experience supporting clinical research in a healthcare environment
