Overview
Seeking a dedicated and organized full-time Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical and/or surgical office settings, with a strong understanding of electronic medical records and administrative procedures.

Job Details

  • The candidate would be joining a busy surgical practice in downtown Kamloops and Royal Inland Hospital
  • Downtown location
  • Shared reception space with one other physician and their MOA

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • This role involves managing front desk operations and assisting with patient flow (e.g. registering patients upon arrival and guiding them to the exam room)
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately. Additionally, answering telephone, office email, faxes and messages from doctors
  • Ensuring exam rooms are kept stocked, clean and neat
  • Transcription
  • Ordering supplies as needed
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Experience

  • Formal MOA training certification
  • Understanding of EMR (preferably QHR - Accuro)
  • English proficiency (both verbal and written)

Wages will be commensurate with experience.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
