Family Physician – Edmonton, AB

Greenstaff Medical Ltd. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Physician to join our healthcare team in Edmonton, Alberta.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking to provide comprehensive primary care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while benefiting from a competitive compensation structure.

Compensation:

  • Annual Compensation Package: $150,000–$300,000 CAD
  • Additional Billing Incentive: 20% of total billings, paid on top of the annual compensation package
  • Additional earnings may vary based on patient volume, clinical activity, and total billings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine and primary care to patients of all ages.
  • Conduct medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, and follow-ups.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Provide preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, and patient education.
  • Prescribe and manage medications safely in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Assess and manage pain using appropriate treatment approaches.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations as required.
  • Refer patients to specialists and allied healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Coordinate ongoing and follow-up care, including home-care services when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, and other practice initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for or currently licensed to practice medicine in Alberta.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
  • Family Medicine certification or equivalent recognized qualification preferred.
  • Experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related clinical setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills.
  • Experience with acute and chronic disease management.
  • Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients is an asset.
  • Hospital, emergency, urgent care, or acute-care experience is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Urdu, Hindi, or Punjabi language skills are considered an asset.
