Job Description

Prime Healthcare Personnel is seeking experienced and compassionate Physicians on behalf of a client in Scarborough, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary primary care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to diverse and underserved communities.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services, manage acute and chronic conditions, and work closely with Nurse Practitioners, nurses, social workers, dietitians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to individuals and families.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Support complex care management for medically vulnerable patients.
  • Mentor and supervise medical learners and Nurse Practitioner students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical case discussions.
  • Provide on-call consultation and support as required.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • CCFP Certification (or equivalent comprehensive family medicine experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in primary care, Family Health Teams (FHT), Community Health Centres (CHC), or similar settings is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse, vulnerable, or medically complex populations is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a vehicle are considered assets.
